President of the Archery Federation: We can not pay for electricity either

The president of the Archery Federation said: "Our budget is limited to the salaries of employees and we can not even pay for electricity with it."

 

Gholamreza Shabani-Bahar, in an interview with a sports reporter of Fars News Agency, about when the archers' training will start, said: Tehran is not in a white situation yet, so as in the past, athletes follow their training at home under the supervision of coaches. There is no plan in the world calendar at the moment and the last competition to win the quota will be held in June next year.

Regarding the financial situation of the federation and the assistance of the Ministry of Sports, he said: "As far as we can get the salaries of the employees, we have received from the Ministry of Sports." This budget is equal to the salaries of the employees and we cannot even pay for electricity with it. We expected to receive some money in March, but the corona ruined everything. Nothing can be said because the situation in the country must be understood.

The President of the Archery Federation stated that the World Federation is going to provide assistance to archers who have been affected by the virus. Do you think that assistance will be provided to Iran as well? Let us be. They say people with coronary artery problems should send their documents to help the athletes. They mean those who are infected with the virus.

Shabani Bahar, in response to a question about hiring a foreign coach for Zahra Nemati, said: Nemati told you to act as you see fit. If you think an external coach is helpful, bring it. He is a professional athlete. We are also considering his request. The Paralympic Committee has given us the authority to hire a foreign coach. We can use it if there is an option, but at the moment there are travel restrictions due to Corona.
